Clear Connections Create 12 Technology jobs
Route2 Solutions Ltd and Clear Connections Ireland Ltd, two established names in the IT and Telecoms sector, have joined forces to develop their Irish business, and expand into the UK market. The new business collaboration will generate six new hi-tech jobs in Ireland this month, with a further six to ten positions to be recruited for the UK operation, across both Ireland and the UK.
Brian Walsh, founder and managing director of Route 2 Solutions, is to become Managing Director of the new Irish company, which will retain the Clear Connections name; Gordon Currie who co-founded Clear Connections Ireland over ten years ago will become Operations Director, while David Smith will drive the UK expansion as Head of Operations UK. Investment in the region of Ä2m is anticipated in the coming year, to support the roll-out of the UK business, and expansion in the Irish market.
The new company has already collaborated on major business, including the provision of call centre technology to Eishtec in Waterford, the business which recently secured the Orange and T-Mobile (Everything Everywhere) sales support contract, and created 250 new jobs.
Other substantial new IT and telecommunications business generated includes Brightwater Recruitment and Thelinor, which will see Clear Communications recruit additional engineering and sales support staff in Ireland to manage the business expansion.
According to Irish Managing Director Brian Walsh, there are strong synergies in the Route 2 and Clear Connections business, and complementary business skills.
‘We will bring a complementary skills-set to existing customers of both companies, adding to the range of services, products, and expertise they will enjoy. There are also the obvious benefits of scale and cost-efficiencies, meaning Clear Connections will be one of the most competitive Irish operators in business communications’, Brian Walsh says.
Clear Connections specialises in individually tailored business solutions in the IT and Telecoms area, including VoIP telecoms, corporate email, spam filtering, critical data back-up, PCI compliance (payment card industry), disaster recovery planning, firewalls, internet connectivity, extranets, intranets, and premium PC/Server support.
Strong Business Pipeline
The new Clear Connections business will be based out of Greenogue Business Plaza, in Rathcoole, in County Dublin, where there will be a full-time team of twelve. Staff numbers will rise to eighteen in the coming months, to cater for new national and international IT and telecoms contracts in the pipeline. Existing clients run to over 300 and range from small businesses of less than ten people, to Fortune 500 companies.
Thanks to consistent organic growth and innovation, both Route 2 Solutions and Clear Connections have become financially solid, multi-faceted businesses, so the time is right to combine resources and expand the scope of the business, David Smith, Clear Connections Head of Solutions says.
‘Our aim is to be a leading player in the ICT arena in the UK and Ireland. Effective IT and communications solutions can help any business, large or small, gain competitive advantage; generating both business efficiencies and cost-savings, which often pay for the new technology in next to no time!’
Clear Connections provides sustainable IT and Telecommunications support to clients in many sectors, including contact centres, financial services, tourism, pharmaceuticals, publishing, education, legal, and not-for-profit organisations. From system design, through installation and on-going maintenance, the Rathcoole company provides uniquely effective business solutions that create impressive cost savings; a major consideration in today’s economic climate.
With the ICT sector continually evolving, both in complexity and sophistication, and the advent of cloud computing expanding communications options, Brian Walsh and David Smith of Clear Connections say they are now ideally set-up to be at the leading edge in delivering innovative, business-enabling services in both the UK and Ireland.
